Where We Were

 We were using a rather stuffy, expensive an uncommunicative accountancy firm which never offered any explanations regarding the rather complicated UK tax system. We suspected that the firm wasn’t adhering to the correct regulations and felt that they weren’t thorough in their approach – this was a big worry for us.

On a few occasions they made mistakes which resulted in the threat of a fine. In the move to Making Tax Digital we knew it was time to jump ship as they were pushing us into using a digital accounting software which didn’t fit with our needs.

What We Were Looking For

We required an accountant who could provide us with simple explanations regarding our duties as directors and tax in general, who could make time for us, speak to us in plain English and ran a modern and agile service.

We also needed to make the move into simple and usable digital accounting software and Rasa’s proficiency in Xero was a key for us.

Cloudit Bookkeeping were recommended to us by our business mentor. He described Rasa as super organised, a stickler for detail and an expert in Xero. After working with Rasa for 1 year, this most definitely has been the case.

Where We Are Now

Rasa made the switch from our old accountants to Cloudit Bookkeeping a breeze which in turn has completely revolutionised the way we do accounting. She has changed our very antiquated methods into system that is more efficient, effective and streamlined. Cloudit take care of our payroll, VAT, bookkeeping, reporting, corporation tax and self-assessments.

We were dedicating so much time to bookkeeping and accounting which is not our skill set. Cloudit Bookkeeping team have taken that burden off our hands allowing us to concentrate on the things we do best and in turn saving us money. Their eye for detail meant that they corrected the mistakes and oversights made by our previous accountants. They are always on the end of a phone line for help and advice with any concerns we have – this is priceless for a small business like ours.

We feel secure in the knowledge that all our tax affairs are taken care of and completed to regulation standards. We no longer have any fear of the tax man popping by as we know all of our accounts are above board and in order.
