Meet the Founder
Hi, I’m Rasa D’Alton and founder of Cloudit Bookkeeping.
I’ve lived in England longer than I did in my home country, Lithuania. It’s been so long, I even count in English now!
I’m married to Matt — my awesome husband and the reason I’m here. We have two kids, Will and Oliver, who keep us on our toes and up to date (mainly because they live on the internet!).
This is our best attempt at recreating the “Entourage” (American TV series) photo. For those of you unfamiliar with it, the show ended in 2011… Time flies!
I’ve experienced the best of both worlds growing up — the poverty-stricken Soviet era until I was 13, and the hopeful, future-building years of post-Soviet Lithuania. Talk about chalk and cheese.
I learned how to be entrepreneurial during the Soviet era (yes, even though it wasn’t allowed!). As a family, we had very little, so we had to find ways to survive — growing our own food, making clothes, recycling everything, or simply going without. That’s where my love for a challenge began — figuring out how to make things work when it’s hard or when there doesn’t seem to be a clear way forward.
I always knew I wanted to run my own business. My degree in Sociology didn’t lead me to a specific trade, but when I stumbled across the ICB (that’s The Institute of Certified Bookkeepers) website in the early 2000s, I knew I’d found the right path.
Numbers were the answer. It meant I could help Matt with his business finances and relieve some of the cash flow stress by producing accurate reports. Seeing the struggles he faced firsthand made me realise that most small business owners are in the same boat. Some of our clients don’t have anyone to talk to about their business worries and that’s where I love to help the most: steadying the rollercoaster so the highs and lows aren’t quite so extreme.
I love numbers, data, patterns, and the stories they tell. Percentages are my favourite — as most of our clients already know! But I’m not just all about numbers, efficiency, and military-style organisation…
I love to let my hair down and have a laugh. I’m currently learning to ride a motorbike, so if you see someone wobbling at a junction on a sunny morning — that might be me getting to work (I’m a fair-weather rider only, I’m afraid!).
I enjoy a good inspirational business book too, especially one where I can take away at least one idea to apply in my own business. I bake a good cake, go to the gym, and unwind in the sauna. I don’t watch the news unless there’s a budget announcement or something that affects our work. Most of it is just noise — and having grown up under propaganda, I’m happy to switch it off.
So that’s me.
What about you — what are you like, and what’s important to you? Let me know — I’d love to hear your story!
Your business and it’s success matters to us
Your business and it’s success matters to us.
“Why?” you ask. Because:
- If you succeed – if you consistently imporve your profit margins, take dividend each year, and feel more relaxed about running your business – then we feel like we’re succeeding too. We can proudly say we’ve made a small difference by supporting you where it matters most: the money side.
- As a small business ourselves, we understand the same growing pains you face. Our primary focus is to support you on the financial side of your business — and that’s something we’re really good at (practice makes perfect, as they say).
Your bottom line is our priority.
- Keeping you informed and helping you understand the performance of your business is our mission.
- Getting the compliance boxes ticked and taxes filed on time so you don’t have to worry – that’s a given.
Here’s what one of our clients had to say:
“Rasa and her team have been an important part of our success over the last few years. The advice and attention to detail provided by Cloudit have been second to none and I would highly recommend them to any business.” John Kimbell – Navigate Digital Ltd

“Highly recommended… Rasa crunches our numbers for us with the most brilliant skill and efficiency, and guided us through setting up and running all our digital finances, invoicing, P&L, corporation tax, VAT and even our SA returns, with such ease and so little stress that she now does all our bookkeeping for us and is worth every penny and more. She’s like an encyclopaedia of Xero!”

“Rasa and the guys at Cloudit are absolut stars! They are always available for advice or to answer any queries we have. They take time to patiently de-mistify the TAX process for us. Cloudit’s attention to detail is staggering, honestly the most helpful accountants we have ever used.”

“I love Rasa’s attention to detail and accuracy in all that she does. I’m so pleased to have found her. To be honest I arrived with my accounts in a complete mess. Rasa has patiently tidied them up and is always on my case now (which I need lol) to keep everything up to date and on point. Her knowledge of Xero is excellent and she works with me to always find better ways of working through excellent communication skills. If you are or want to be on Xero then look no further you have found the right person in Rasa.”
